NO4J Tower Project

The project has now been completed.
It was a lot of work and planning and materials gathering, but the end result is really nice.  A compromise compared with what I had at one time in the distant past, but the performance is far better than I expected.
The Hazer runs up and down the tower very nicely.  The convenience of having the antenna 6 feet off the ground for maintenance is awesome.
All in all, I'm completely satisfied with what I have.  I just need to get 80 & 160 meters going with decent antennas.

Got a lot of work done. The antenna is assembled. 3 sections have been added to the tower. And the Hazer is assembled and wrapped around the tower. I just need to add 3 more tower sections, put the guy wires in place, and mount the rotor, mast, and antenna to the Hazer. It looks like its very possible that I will be on the air by this weekend!!!!

TOWER IS COMPLETE!!!
Finally, after a lot of issues, we have finished the tower. What a project this has turned out to be. We had a lot of trouble with sections not mating up. That comes from using used tower. But it is done! The antenna did not get mounted because of a screw-up on my part and darkness. Maybe tonight. All that is left is mounting the antenna and attaching the Hazer cable to the winch.

The guy you see in first 2 pics is Ron, N4KE.  Great friend and helper.

This was quite a project. Now I am a happy camper. It plays as good as it looks.
TA-53-M w/40 mtr add-on kit. It's up 55 feet. The Hazer works like a champ!
Many thanks to Ron, N4KE, for all of his help. QRZ boys.
